What You Will Learn

How to open a door professionally and without causing damage

How to handle the full range of lockout scenarios you will meet in practice
How to operate independently and run your own business in the locksmith trade

The course combines classroom days with hands on practice. Once you pass the practical examination at our head office, you can start work as a locksmith straight away.

What the Assessment Covers

You finish the course with a practical assessment. By the end of it you will be able to:

Open a door without causing damage
Choose the best opening technique and protocol for each scenario
Ask the right follow up questions and advise customers on securing their door hardware
Demonstrate a working understanding of the basic techniques and principles behind locks
Show, in a simulated job, that you can advise the customer and open a lock both destructively and non destructively

What Happens After You Qualify

You Become a Verified Locksmith

Once you have passed, we add you to the Locksmith app as a verified locksmith and you gain access to the Locksmith pool. Jobs from customers across the country appear on your screen within minutes.

You Receive Work Through the Platform

Customers reach us every day: people locked out of their home, and people who want their locks replaced. As a verified locksmith you can pick up those jobs. Through the app you set your availability, update your details, see how often you are called and view everything on the job board.

You Buy Locks at Better Prices

Quality locks are expensive, for locksmiths too. Locksmith.nl works directly with the respected Dutch lock manufacturer M&C, and as a verified locksmith you benefit from that purchasing arrangement.

Payments Run Through the App

All payments are handled digitally through the Locksmith app, which is safer and simpler for you and for the customer alike.

Course Packages

The Academy runs in three tiers. The Introduction Course comes with a starter kit of practice cylinders, pick tools and an extractor set, and is the way to find out whether the trade suits you. The Locksmith Course adds screening, the assessment and verified locksmith status, a full destructive and non destructive opening set and access to jobs through Locksmith.nl. The Business Package builds on that with wholesale pricing, your own website, content and SEO marketing, a partner location in Google and an extended M&C stock kit.
